Anarchy in the FLA

Anarchy in the FLA
November 24, 2004

Thanks to all the bands, volunteers, and fans who participated in our recent fundraiser held at The Bank Nighclub & Concert Venue on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. The evening was judged a great success by the over 300 guests who enjoyed twenty bands plus punk rock karaoke between sets.

A special thanks to the bands & performers: Can’t Do It; Vodkanauts; Downshifters; Uncle John’s Band; Parson Brown; Mercy Seat; Sparky’s Nightmare; 4 Star Riot; Car Bomb Driver; Squirrels Gone Wild; Too Many Subplots; Auditorium; John McNicholas; Sandy Atkinson; Bob Anthony; Lorna Bracewell; Doc Lovett; Jeremy Gloff; Sheila Kirsten Hughes; Will Quinlan & Steve Connelley.

Anarchy in the F.L.A. also benefited the America’s Second Harvest of Tampa Bay food bank, which partners with over 300 charities & churches to distribute food to the hungry in west central Florida. This food distribution partnership dispenses over 50,000 meals for the hungry each week.

Proceeds from the concert, as well as income from a second concert to be held on February 12, 2005 at Skippers Smokehouse in Tampa, benefit the South by Southwest Music Lovers Group (SMLG).

The SMLG serves as a voice for Tampa Bay artists & showcases the Suncoast’s diverse music, arts, & cultural offerings by presenting live concerts & events, including the 3rd Annual Florida Bandango, an SMLG event to be held at The Copper Tank Brew Pub in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, March 16, 2005. The Florida Bandango presents the music, art, & cuisine of the Suncoast to an international audience in attendance at the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Texas.
